MCRC embraces an emergent and play based philosophy in all program areas. This is best described as an approach to learning which encourages purposeful play and builds upon the interests of children. Children are closely observed by program teachers and are given opportunities for learning based on these observed interests. Staff, parents and children work as a collaborative team, directing learning through an enriched environment influenced by project work, communication through various media, research and documentation.
